Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using FlorrMobNotify. If your question is not answered here, ask in our Discord server and someone will help.

Getting Started

What is FlorrMobNotify?

FlorrMobNotify is a free, real-time notification tool for florr.io players. It connects to a dedicated WebSocket server that tracks live game events and instantly delivers browser notifications when mobs spawn, rifts open, or the shop updates — no manual refreshing required.

Is FlorrMobNotify free to use?

Yes, completely free. You can connect as a guest with no account needed. Discord login is optional and unlocks additional features like earlier mob deletion access and a persistent display name in the community panel.

Do I need to create an account?

No account required. Click "Guest" on the welcome screen to get instant access. Guest sessions are temporary and expire after a set time period, but every notification feature is available during the session.

What is florr.io?

Florr.io is a browser-based multiplayer survival game where players collect petal drops by defeating enemies. Rare mobs drop especially valuable petals, making mob spawn tracking highly competitive among dedicated players.

Notifications

How do I enable browser notifications?

When you first connect, your browser will ask for notification permission. Click "Allow". If you accidentally denied it, click the lock icon in your browser's address bar, find the Notifications setting for this site, and set it to "Allow". Then refresh the page.

Why am I not getting notifications?

Common causes: (1) Browser notification permission was denied — check site settings via the address bar lock icon. (2) Notifications or sound are toggled off in the Settings panel. (3) Your rarity filter excludes the mob that spawned. (4) The mob's server region is filtered out. Open Settings and verify your rarity and region filters.

Can I filter which mobs trigger notifications?

Yes. The Settings panel lets you filter by rarity level (10 levels from Common to Eternal), by server region (US, EU, ASIA), and by specific mob names using a spawn whitelist or blacklist. Defeat notifications and petal notifications can also be toggled independently.

What rarity levels are supported?

All 10 rarity tiers from florr.io are supported: Common, Unusual, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Ultra, Super, Unique, and Eternal. Each can be individually enabled or disabled in the notification settings.

Can I have sound alerts?

Yes. Sound notifications are enabled by default using the built-in alert sound. You can mute sound at any time in the Settings panel without disabling visual notifications. A custom sound name can also be configured if the corresponding audio file is available.

Features & Usage

What is the difference between Guest and Discord login?

Guest access gives full notification access but the session expires after a fixed time. Discord login is persistent (no expiry), shows your Discord username in the online users panel, and gives earlier mob deletion access — 5 minutes after spawn versus 30 minutes for guests. Moderator and Admin roles unlock even earlier deletion.

What are rifts?

Rifts are limited-time competitive events in florr.io where players race to a location for a prize. FlorrMobNotify tracks rift openings and updates in real time, shows current player count, and records the winner, prize, and claim time once a rift closes. A full rift history is available in the Rifts panel.

What does the Shop Monitor do?

The Shop dialog shows the current in-game shop inventory. A notification badge appears whenever the shop updates with new items, and you can browse shop contents for past or future dates using the built-in date navigator inside the dialog.

What are mapcodes?

Mapcodes are short codes players enter to jump directly to specific biomes or zones in florr.io. The Mapcodes browser in FlorrMobNotify displays live mapcode data organized by biome, fetched fresh each time you open the dialog.

What are Unique Forges?

The Unique Forges tracker lists currently active forge locations in the game. This helps players find forges for unique-tier items without needing to explore manually.

Can I use FlorrMobNotify on mobile?

Yes. The interface is fully responsive and works on modern mobile browsers. The layout switches to a vertical stack on smaller screens. Browser notifications work on most mobile browsers; on iOS you may need to add the site to your home screen for full notification support.

Technical Questions

How does the real-time connection work?

FlorrMobNotify uses WebSocket technology — a persistent two-way connection between your browser and the notification server. Unlike HTTP requests that close after each response, the WebSocket connection stays open and the server pushes events to you instantly as they occur. See the How It Works page for a full technical breakdown.

Why does it show my ping?

The ping indicator shows the round-trip latency between your browser and the notification server. Lower ping (shown in green) means faster event delivery. The color scales from green under 80ms to yellow, orange, and red above 300ms. High ping may mean you're receiving notifications with a slight delay.

Why was I disconnected?

Disconnections usually happen due to a network interruption, a server restart, or your browser suspending the tab. The connection overlay appears whenever you go offline. The app will attempt automatic reconnection. If it fails, a manual refresh restores your session using the saved token in your browser storage.

Does FlorrMobNotify store data on my device?

Yes, in your browser's localStorage. This includes your notification settings, layout preferences, and session tokens for authentication. Data stored locally never leaves your device except for the session token, which is sent to the server only for authentication. You can clear it at any time from your browser's privacy or storage settings.

Discord & Community

What does the Discord bot do?

The Discord bot delivers the same mob spawn, defeat, rift, and shop notifications directly to Discord channels. Server administrators can invite the bot, configure which notifications appear in specific channels, and use slash commands to query current mob status.

How do I join the Discord server?

Use the Discord icon in the app header, or go to discord.gg/68S85MPZjJ directly. The server is where you can get live support, suggest features, and receive announcements about updates or planned downtime.

How do I get a higher role (Member, Moderator)?

Role upgrades are managed by the server team. Join the Discord server, participate in the community, and active trusted members may be considered for role upgrades over time.
